- Click "I agree" to enter the live search application.

Types of Anoka County Warrants
An arrest warrant calls for the immediate apprehension and arrest of a person. The Sheriff's disclaimer states that a district court judge issues a warrant based on suspected commission of a crime or failure to follow a court order. Warrants may also be issued for probation violation, pretrial supervision violation, failure to appear, or failure to abide by certain civil court orders.
- Arrest warrants: issued after a criminal charge for the suspect's arrest.
- Bench warrants: often issued for failure to appear at a scheduled court hearing.
- Probation violation warrants: issued when a person on probation breaks a condition.
- Pretrial release violation warrants: issued when a person on pretrial release violates a court order.
- Civil order warrants: issued for certain failures to follow civil court orders.
The Online Warrant Search displays public information about active Anoka County District Court arrest warrants only. Out-of-county warrants are held by the issuing jurisdiction. The Minnesota BCA public criminal history search does not include open warrant data.

Statewide and Federal Warrant Resources
The Sheriff's portal posts only Anoka County District Court warrants. For warrants from other Minnesota counties, contact the issuing sheriff or court. The state's BCA Public Criminal History portal lists convictions, not open warrants. Crime Stoppers of Minnesota at the tip line published on the Sheriff homepage accepts anonymous tips on wanted persons.
Federal warrants tied to U.S. District Court cases route through the U.S. Marshals Service, not the county Sheriff. The Federal Bureau of Prisons inmate locator tracks federal custody after sentencing but does not publish open federal warrant data. The U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota hosts federal case data through PACER.
Public Access Laws for Anoka County Warrants
Active warrant information sits in the law enforcement data category under Minn. Stat. § 13.82. The statute classifies arrest, request-for-service, investigative, and 911 data. Open investigative data may stay closed while the case is active. The Sheriff's Online Warrant Search publishes the active arrest warrant data because it is public under state law, but the site notes that Anoka County retains the right to modify content for policy or public safety reasons.
Note: Anoka County will only confirm active warrant information to the named person on the general Warrant Search line; counter staff cannot share warrant data on third parties.
